Six Chinese Companies on International Startup Listing

The EE Times 60 Emerging Startups list was recently updated to version 4.0, and it now includes six Chinese companies, including Analogix Semiconductor, Commit, Nanotech, RDA Microelectronics, T3G Technology, and VeriSilicon. Commit and T3G Technology focus on the development of 3G chipsets, especially for the Chinese TD-SCDMA standard. RDA Microelectronics, which was established in March 2004, mainly works on mobile phone RF transceivers and power amplifier chipsets, and has successfully developed a CMOS RF transceiver for handsets. Analogix Semiconductor was formed in March 2002, and engages in R&D on multimedia and communications chipsets and for this purpose it has built an R&D center in Beijing. It has developed transceiver ICs which are able to reach a 25-Gbit per second data rate over copper wire. Nanotech, based in Changzhou, is a chip foundry and makes use of Intel's 0.35 micron and 0.25 micron process technology. VeriSilicon is a fabless ASIC design foundry based in Shanghai.
